The cups are made from paper and PLA biopolymer derived from corn starch. No conventional petroleum-based plastics are used in their production.

IMPORTANT:
The cups feature the mandatory turtle symbol indicating the presence of plastic (visible in the product photos). This marking is required under the EU Single-Use Plastics (SUP) Directive. The cups are coated with a layer of PLA and therefore must carry this label in accordance with current regulations.
PLA is a biopolymer made from renewable plant-based resources (including corn starch). Under industrial composting conditions, it is compostable and represents a more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional plastics.
